Founded in 1997, ASEP's website includes their goals/objectives, ASEP Standards, Code of Ethics, Directory of Members (over 200 persons), program accreditation and certification information, and access to their online journal (see details above). An announcement of a forthcoming online journal entitled, Professionalization of Exercise Physiology: an international electronic journal for exercise physiologists (ISSN 1099-5862) is on this site. The links to other exercise physiology sites are quite numerous and informative.

Data comes from Ulrich's International Periodicals Directory, Editor & Publisher International Yearbook and the Bath Information and Data Service (BIDS-UK). This is an online internet resource catalog of the Internet Scout Project, produced by professional librarians and funded by the National Science Foundation. Published every Friday on the web and by email, provides notification of valuable resources on the internet. Selection criteria includes matters of content, authority, information maintenance, presentation, availability and cost. Produced by the South African Department of Sport and Recreation with support of the SA National Sports Council and SA National Olympic Committee. To access the database make certain that you click on SPORT Lit from the home page and not the SISA Information Centre page.

A commercial website listing over 44,000 graduate programs at many universities in the US and some overseas universities. Provides an index by specific program. For sport/physical education the site lists programs under: dance, exercise sciences, kinesiology, physical education, psychology - sport, recreation & parks administration, and sports administration & management. Each entry has a hotlink to the university faculty member representing the graduate program and another to the university's home page. Also lists address, voice/fax numbers, but does not accurately list the name of the department in many cases. This website edition of the well-known and authoritative Peterson's Annual Guide to Graduate Programs (in print and CD ROM also) provides basic information on graduate programs in the US and Canada. For physical education/sport sciences, Peterson's organizes the this subject area into 7 sub-areas (e.g. sport administration, recreation, kinesiology) for 350 graduate programs. Each entry lists degrees offered, number of faculty, current graduate enrolment and entrance requirements. Online Booksellers and Video Sources
We listed in Nasline No. 12 an online bookseller called Interloc. Interloc has now become Alibris: the Ultimate Source for Out-of Print & Rare Books (www2.alibris.com). A search under various sport related words, including exercise, biomechanics, and sports netted a substantive number of academic books and other sports generalia.
